If you want to learn more about the local history of Solsona, re-discovering and re-intepreting the entire old quarter, the Cathedral, the Ice Well, the Museum or other areas that were part of the daily, civil or religious life at the time, then we offer you the opportunity to be led by local guides on a journey through time.
Every Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 am guided visits are run which last approximately two hours. The visit starts at the Interpretation Centre (Regional Tourist Office – Ctra. Bassella 1).
The visit covers the Ice Well, the Cathedral, the cloisters, the remains of an artisan house dating back to the 14th century and other symbolic parts of the historic town centre.
The standard price of the visit is 7 €, and 5€ for senior citizens and students. Children under 12, accompanied, enter free. The price includes the entrance fee to the Ice Well and the Carreras Home (remains of an artisan house dating back to the 14th century).
For further information, please consult the city Tourist Office, where tickets can also be bought in advance.
Would you like to see a craftsman at work? How is wood worked, how is a wicker basket made, how are the Solsona folklore elements painted, how does a dragon set off fireworks at the town festival, how is stone sculptured and brought to life? Would you also like to see an organic farm?
Some of the artisan workshops in the region accept visitors, and the crafted products can be purchased directly from the craftsman.
